Cold Dream  ✣  Menghan Wang

Through symbolic imageries of deaths and rebirths, the travels and wonders in between, cold steel and warm soil, water and fire, THEAR (transposed “Earth“) puts an abstract subject under focus—the connection between representation of life and life itself which underlies all the elements that are perceivable in the film. Created during the global pandemic in 2020, the film is an experimental reintegration of the self and its surroundings by practice, as well as a journey inviting the audience to dream and explore in between representations.
