OTOLOGI CLINIC (2024)
at “Sound Art Live” on April 25 & 26 at the West Bund Museum in Shanghaipresented by the Centre Pompidou × the West Bund Museum Project
Curated by Nicolas Ballet, “Sound Art Live” is a series of performances at the West Bund Museum, that supports the opening of the exhibition “I Never Dream Other Than Awake: Journeys in Sound”, curated by Marcella Lista, dedicated to contemporary sound practices.
This event brings together Chinese musicians and performers Wang Changcun, Ye Hui, Yan Jun, Wang Menghan and Sun Wei for a series of performances revealing the richness of current sound practices carried out by different generations of artists in China, creating a dialogue between new artistic practices and the diversity of artworks presented in the exhibition, while providing an opportunity to explore a wide range of experimental practices and musical genres: ambient, field recordings, electronic music and noise.
